evelyn r. manangan    producer : writer : production manager

Evelyn Manangan has dedicated more than 15 years to non-fiction and lifestyles TV and video as a producer, production manager and writer based in New York, California and Colorado and for shoot locations all over the world.

Getting her start in New York at MTV and the Food Network nurtured the solid work ethic and creative thinking that she brings to the job. Whether it’s capturing the intricacies of American factory life for National Geographic Channel or the subtleties of the Asian kitchen for the Cooking Channel, Evelyn’s work reflects the passion and attention she puts into it.

Evelyn’s love of local food, flavor and field producing led to a James Beard Foundation Award in 2000 for an episode on California’s Wine Country shot entirely in Sonoma Valley. A published writer and literary devotee, read her sensory experiences at Litseen.com.

When she’s not writing, eating or doing her thing in the city, she’s bringing mad production and development skills to companies that specialize in documentary recreations, non-fiction, broadcast and corporate video including Smithsonian Channel, Indigo Films (a Global Media 100 company), BBC, NOVA, Discovery and more...

In Summer and Fall 2013, Evelyn kicked off Season two production on Smithsonian Channel’s Aerial America, a state-by-state exploration of American history, community and cultural landscapes as seen from above... Learn more about the series and watch an episode at SmithsonianChannel.com.
